This is a really cool phone – just don’t expect to be able to use the music player and extra memory. . 6 mos later there is still NO headphone adaptor available. You can get a pair of headphones from ATT if you order them and you get stuck with their earbuds. . which don’t fit me. Unless you want to fool with bluetooth you are offered no options. Pretty shabby support for what is supposed to be a top of the line full featured phone.. . and apparently neither ATT nor LG care…
I’ve had this phone for 10 days. It is the worst phone I have ever had.
The problems:
-Buggy software
-Unresponsive and inaccurate touch screen
-Navigation between phone, email, and web functions is very cumbersome and clunky.
-Cannot sync with Outlook
-Cannot sync with Yahoo Go
-Could not find an adapter to convert to 3.5mm stereo headset
-There is no way to import my hundreds of contacts onto the phone
-Cannot remove unwanted programs
-Text entry on web pages is stupid. Why does it have to open a special text entry dialog? Why can’t I just type in the box on the webpage?
-Battery does not last long
-Phone is flimsy plastic, screen seems very thin.
-Camera sucks
My previous phone was a Samsung Blackjack. I discovered that I didn’t need all the smartphone features, but I do need good web access, access to my contacts, and a way to sync the calendar. I found all of these functions on the Xenon to be totally useless.
This phone is trying to be so many different things, that it fails miserably at every one of them.
Don’t buy the hype. Buy a different phone.
I bought this phone as a gift for my son in September for his birthday. A few days after he had it, the screen started having a bubble in the middle. We took it back and AT&T replaced it no problem. The second phone did the same thing but this time we had to call the 800 number instead of them replacing it in the store and as usual AT&T always blames you for the problem(s). We have been with AT&T for 12 years and if they cannot treat their loyal customers with more respect than that then we will be taking our business elsewhere. The phone has never been dropped and there are no scratches anywhere on it. We have to take the second phone to the AT&T warranty store so we will see what they do from there. I’ll keep you updated.
This LG phone has problems. I had an iphone and traded it in for the new LG Xenon because I wanted a phone with a Qwerty keyboard. Big Mistake. The keyboard on the Xenon has already quit working. I took the phone back and AT&T exchanged it for another. The keyboard has quit working again on both mine and my husband’s phone. After doing some research, this seems to be a very common problem with this phone. Also, I had the replacement phone less than a week and the screen already has a big scratch on it, even though I keep it in a case all the time. All in all, LG needs to do some serious work on this phone. It has lots of great features and is a fun phone, but I am going back to iphone as soon as AT&T opens tomorrow. Too much hassle to keep getting replaced.
I’ve had my Xenon for about a week now. It’s an ok phone. I upgraded from a Samsung Slider. The A737.
Pros: the screen is absolutely amazing. I’ve been playing on the net since i got the phone. I love the QWERTY keyboard. The camera is wonderful. It’s very easy to use.
Cons: the battery life is awful. The features are limited. You can’t save items from multimedia mesasages. The address book is limited to numbers and e-mails. No space for birthdays or addresses or anything like that. On my old phone I could group pics or songs into different categories. I can’t do it on this phone.
However, I do plan on keeping this phone until I upgrade again.
